The Canadian pages of this website (the pages under /ca) are operated by UM Tax and Accounting Inc. By using these pages you accept these terms. We may update them; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed.

Information, not advice

Everything on this site is general information. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances. Tax rules change, and a page may not reflect the latest change, so speak to us or another adviser before you act.

When we act for you

Using this site, or emailing, phoning or messaging us on WhatsApp, does not make you a client. UM Tax and Accounting Inc. acts for you only once an engagement letter setting out the work has been signed by you and by us. Until then, please do not send us documents or information we have not asked for.

No promised outcome

We do not promise any particular result, such as a refund, a tax saving or a decision by the Canada Revenue Agency. The outcome of any matter depends on its facts and on decisions we do not control.
