Tax Representation

When the IRS writes to you, the letter has a deadline and the deadline matters. Umair Manzoor PC represents clients before the IRS under Treasury Department Circular 230, through Umair Manzoor, a Certified Public Accountant. With your signed Form 2848, we can speak to the IRS for you, see your IRS records and respond on your behalf. We cannot promise an outcome. We work to the deadline in the notice and make sure your response is complete and backed by records.

Representation when a return is examined (audited).

Send a copy of every page of the notice and the return it refers to. We tell you what it means and the response deadline.

You sign Form 2848. We pull your IRS transcripts to see the full account, not only the letter.

  3. Plan the response

We explain the options, what each needs from you, and what each could lead to. You choose.

  4. Respond and follow through

We prepare and send the response for the deadline in the notice, and handle the follow-up calls and letters until the matter closes.

Questions

Still have a question?

Contact us
Who can represent me before the IRS?

Circular 230 governs practice before the IRS. Attorneys, certified public accountants and enrolled agents can represent taxpayers. Umair Manzoor is a CPA.

Do I have to talk to the IRS myself?

Once you sign Form 2848, your representative can deal with the IRS for you and receive your confidential tax information.

How long do I have to respond to a notice?

The deadline is in the notice. The IRS says to reply by the due date to protect your appeal rights. For a Collection Due Process hearing, the deadline to file Form 12153 is printed on the notice, and the window is short.

Can you get my penalties removed?

We cannot promise that. The IRS offers penalty relief for first-time abatement, reasonable cause and statutory exceptions, depending on the penalty. We tell you whether you appear to qualify and make the request if you do.
