Company Setup

Incorporating a company in Pakistan starts with the SECP: reserving a name, then filing the incorporation documents online. Umair Manzoor & Co. Chartered Accountants is registered with the SECP as an intermediary, so the firm can file on your behalf with your consent. After incorporation, the firm handles the tax registrations the company needs to start trading.

Questions

Still have a question?

Contact us
What does “registered intermediary” mean?

The SECP keeps a list of registered intermediaries who may file documents on behalf of companies and promoters. The company remains responsible for what is filed, and the intermediary files only with its consent.

Does the company get an NTN automatically?

The SECP and FBR run a one-window facility for company and NTN registration. Where it applies, the NTN is issued alongside incorporation; otherwise we register the company with FBR separately.

Can an overseas Pakistani be a director?

Yes. Overseas Pakistanis can subscribe and act as directors using a NICOP or passport. The SECP’s requirements for non-resident subscribers apply.

Do we need provincial registration?

If the company provides services taxable under a provincial sales tax law, it registers with that province’s revenue authority. We check which apply based on where you provide services.
